An outreach to Bristol Virginia, Bristol Tennessee, and the surrounding communities of Southwest VA and East TN.

How can you help reach women in the Tri-Cities TN/VA area?

YOU CAN HELP US REACH WOMEN

We need Christians to help us reach women who are considering abortion in the southwest Virginia and east Tennessee areas (Tri-Cities: Bristol, Kingsport, Johnson City and surrounding areas).

Share LifeBristol.com with people in the Tri-cities TN/VA area. There are many ways you can do that.

  • You can share it with women you personally know who are considering abortion.
  • You can share it with women you come across on social media or other digital spaces who are discussing abortion (pro tip: sharing via PM is generally received better than in public comments).
  • You can share it with your church and Christian friends so they can send women here as well.

Help Us Dropcard in the Tri-Cities TN/VA area.

Dropcarding is easy, non-confrontational, and can be done without taking extra time out of your normal routines. You may not be able to come out on the street to stand with us but you can do this and help us reach women in our community before they reach the abortion facility.

Many women who are seeking abortions are not looking for a crisis pregnancy center or other help with their pregnancy. They are actively seeking abortion. Dropcarding is a way for you to help us reach women who are not actively looking for us.

WHAT IS A DROPCARD?

Dropcards are the size of a business card and they simply point people to this website to read the message on the homepage. Whether they decide to reach out to talk or not, they will at least see some truth about themselves, their babies, and the God who created them both.

Remember, God’s Word does not return empty, but accomplishes that which He sends it out to do (Is. 55:11).

The idea is to leave dropcards in public places where they will be found and picked up. Similar to leaving tracts.

LifeBristol Dropcards

WHERE DO YOU DROPCARD?

Dropcards can easily be left on restaurant tables, at gas pumps, on park benches or tables, in public restrooms, etc. Any public area where a card  would be likely to be picked up in a fairly short amount of time is a good place. Many people enjoy being creative with how or where they leave dropcards as they go about their day-to-day activities.

If you would like to start dropcarding in the Tri-Cities TN/VA area contact us to get some cards to start (see contact info below) or download the art here (side 1 / side 2) and get your own cards printed anywhere that prints business cards.

What is lifebristol all about?

Who are we?

We are evangelical Christians seeking to live in obedience to God’s command to love your neighbor as yourself. We take seriously the Biblical instruction to “Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.” (Prov. 24:11).

What are we doing?

Our outreach is primarily a Gospel outreach, not a political protest.

This doesn’t mean that we believe political involvement is unimportant, it simply is not the primary goal of this type of outreach.

Our goal here is to reach people in our community (Tri-Cities TN/VA) who are actively seeking abortion, in order to:

  1. Share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them.
  2. Be a voice for their babies who have no voice of their own.

We do this by physically going to the local abortion facility in Bristol Tennessee and also via online means including this website.

What is Our Ministry Approach?

Jesus said, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (Jn. 8:31-32).

Our firm belief is that when the Gospel message is shared and the Truth of God’s Word is boldly spoken, hearts will be changed and people will be set free from their bondage to sin and turned away from the pathway to death.

We believe that women need to hear the full truth about themselves, their babies, and the God who made them both. They need to hear the truth about sin and its remedy.

These truths are found in the Bible.

The Bible says that when God’s word is spoken it does not return to Him empty but accomplishes His purposes (Is. 55:11).

And His word is living and active and discerns the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Heb. 4:12).

We trust that what God’s Word says about itself is true and that we may trust in Him to work redemption in the lives of women by the power of His word and the work of His Spirit.

What do we believe?

We are evangelical, Protestant Christians in our beliefs. The clarity and purity of the Gospel message is precious to us. We are ambassadors for Christ and must carry His message and not our own.

Among other things, we affirm:

  1. The Apostles Creed
  2. The Nicene Creed
  3. The Five Solas of the Reformation (see below)

What are the Five Solas of the Reformation?

Though they weren’t labeled as Solas at the time, these doctrines were hammered out during the time of the Reformation (16th century) as a counterpoint to Roman Catholic doctrines. We believe these Solas faithfully articulate Biblical doctrine concerning salvation and the justification of sinners before God.

Scripture Alone (Sola Scriptura): The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and sufficient Word of God and is our final authority for faith and practice. All other authorities or traditions must be judge by and are subservient to the rule of Scripture.

Christ Alone (Solo Christo): The ungodly are justified in God’s sight and salvation is accomplished by the work of Christ alone. We contribute nothing to our own salvation. We do not finish or complete a work that He started. Salvation starts and ends with the work of Christ.

Faith Alone (Sola Fide), Salvation is by faith alone, not by our works. The redemption of Christ is received through faith. Saving faith is a gift of God and not a “work” we do to save ourselves. “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”—Ephesians 2:8-9

Grace Alone (Sola Gratia): Salvation comes solely by God’s grace and not by anything that we do for ourselves. Salvation is a work of God’s grace from start to finish.

To the Glory of God Alone (Soli Deo Gloria): There is no room for the boasting or pride of any man (or woman) in their own salvation. The work of salvation is done entirely by God and all the glory for it belongs to Him alone.
